As you all know, TEAM USA kicked some ass at The Secret Wars! TEAM EUROPE talked a lot of shit and fought valiantly, but it was not meant to be for our Euro pals. The fight was intense, bitter and exhausting but ended with a close call from the judges. One judge voted for Europe, one judge voted for USA and it was all up to the crowd vote...a giant ROAR for USA! Suck it Europe! But seriously, it was truly an honor to battle such worthy foes: The London Police, Wayne horse and Mr. K...we love you guys! And of course, a big shout out to our team members KANO  and Buff Monster! Thanks guys!!!

Following up a smash success in New York's Opera Gallery earlier this year, the 3D Art Book Exhibition comes to Miami during Art Basel Miami 2011 for another display of retro 3D art and book signings with over 10 artists in attendance and over 35 eye popping works from the book on display.

The 3D Art Book is curated and edited by New York artist Tristan Eaton and explores the art of retro 3D as applied to the sub-cultures of graffiti art, tattoo art, pop surrealism and street art.
Works by 100 established and up-and-coming contemporary artists, are expertly rendered as stereoscopic images. Most of these artists have never shown work in 3D before; this book displays their pieces in a new light and brings 3D back to the old school.

The super popular, international art battle party is coming to Miami! Tristan was asked to head up the USA team featuring himself, Kano and Buff Monster. They'll be going up against The London Police and some other European riff raff we haven't heard of. LOL! It should be an amazing battle with both teams going head to head with 90 minutes to fight to the death. Come down and support the troops - don't let the terrorists win!

We're super excited about this. Everlast (of House of Pain fame) has been a big supporter of Thunderdog and a collector of Tristan's art for a few years now. So needless to say it was a big honor when he commissioned Tristan to do the cover art of his new solo record: Songs of the Ungrateful Living! It's hitting stores this October!

Tristan created a detailed illustration featuring the skull of an ungrateful, lost soul of Los Angeles surrounded by coca leaves, poppy leaves, a pile of pennies (that all landed tails up), a scarab and an empty bottle of booz.
