Tristan Eaton X Annie Leibovitz for GAP CHINA

Well, here is some crazy news...

Recently, The Gap graciously invited Tristan to be photographed by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz! The 'Let's Gap Together' campaign celebrates The Gap's first entry into China (apparently a big deal) and showcases American creatives with their Asian counterparts - i.e. Usher & Jolin Tsai, DIPLO & DJ Wordy, Barry Levinson & Johnnie To and of course, Tristan Eaton & Celine Lau. It's a huge honor for Tristan to be included in this campaign - Thank you Annie!

CONTRA PROJECTS: FILLMORE ST. MURAL - TRISTAN EATON X HOW & NOSM

We're happy to debut the completed collaboration mural between Tristan Eaton and How & Nosm. The mural is located on Fillmore Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Fillmore street is actually a city recognized 'Historic Site' as the author Henry Miller actually grew up there! Cool! The full mural is almost 50 feet long and 12 feet tall. Tristan painted his piece with a combination of spray paint, brush and stencil. Check out the details below!

PUMA FAAS LAB: Art by Tristan Eaton - Photography by Jeremy & Claire Weiss

After 6 months of anticipation, we are happy to announce our project in collaboration with PUMA! This has been an extremely intensive project with elaborate logo design, text design, illustration and good old street work on site in Kingston Jamaica - all commissioned and executed over the course of 2 weeks. This campaign is promoting the PUMA line of foot wear endorsed by Olympic running legend and Jamaican hero Usain Bolt. Similar to Micheal Jordan for Nike Basketball, this is PUMA's equivalent for running, but with a hardcore Kingston vibe. Having been a huge fan of Dancehall reggae since his teens, Tristan was honored to take on the task and emulate the look and feel of hand done Jamaican graphics seen bodega and shops in Kingston.

Rumored to be the highest paid athletic endorsement in history, this campaign will be featured in print, TV, billboards, extensively on line and (most exciting) in every PUMA store in the country. Check out the highlights below and be sure to check it out at your local PUMA store!

The campaign photos and custom FAAS LAB bodega (made from scratch) took place on Matthews Lane, in a very volatile garrison in Kingston, Jamaica run by the legendary warlord Lord Zeeks. You can read up on him and his rival Chris 'Dudus' Coke here.

The locals were extremely kind and protective of the whole crew. Even though local stores don't get regular deliveries (for fear or robbery), we had everything we needed within minutes of asking. They were so excited to be part of an Usain Bolt project that they treated the whole team like superstars! Every kid on the block had a giant smile and great sense of humor, every one else jumped in to help where ever they could.

FAAS LAB BRANDING & LOGO DESIGN

Below you'll see almost all of the graphics Tristan created for this project. Most graphics were designed in advance, others were created on the spot, on site in Jamaica.

FAAS LAB: Behind The Scenes

Check out some of the in progress pics from the Kingston trip! Big thanks to everyone from Droga5 and Planet PrePro for helping us on the extremely long and extremely hot days! It was 95 degrees almost everyday! This was a hardcore production week, but well worth it. Thanks guys!
